What is a Nurse Practitioner?

An Adult Nurse Practitioner is a health care provider who has completed four years of medical training in a State-Accredited Nursing Baccalaureate Program. They must then go on to obtain a Masters Degree in Adult Primary Care Medicine, at a State-Accredited Nursing Masters Degree Program. After succesfully passing a State Board Exam, they become liscensed to prescribe medicine, diagnose and treat patients for acute and chronic illness. They are held to many of the same legal and ethical standards as a physician. They may practice medicine independently in collaboration with a physician.

Will My Insurance Cover This Service?
Medicare will pay for 80% of services rendered, and the remaining 20% can be covered by secondary insurance contracts, personal checks, money order, or cash. Please contact us for any questions or concerns regarding payment options.
